Text Messaging and TightWad
The commands below allow you to interact with TightWad from your mobile phone.
Once you've created an account you'll be able to set up your phone and start tracking your spending.
Spent
When you spend money and want to track it with TightWad, just text spent plus how much you spent and the short name of the budget you used. You can include a note with more details if you'd like. Once we process your message, we'll reply with your updated balance.

Budgets
If you want to see the names and balances of your currently active budgets, text budgets and we'll send back a list of your budgets and how much is left in each.

If you're wondering about a command or not sure what you should do, text tightwad help and we'll get you a list of commands. If you include one of the commands in the message you'll get specific instructions for that command.

undo
If you sent a payment for the wrong amount and want to remove it, just send undo and we'll remove the last payment, then reply with your updated balance.

When you activate your phone with TightWad you'll be given a verification code. After texting that code to tightwad verify we'll grab your phone number and associate it with your account. After that you'll be able to use all of the above commands whenever you'd like.
